The current Government’s ambition is to deliver 100,000 Starter Homes through a recent planning reform. These houses are to be offered only to first time buyers under the age of 40 wishing to own and occupy a home at a discount of at least 20% below their open market value;
They will have a maximum discounted sales price of £250k outside London (£450k in London) to ensure that the Starter Homes are in reach of the typical young first time buyer.
Following a period of information gathering we have developed a model for a 2/3 bed starter home of approximately 100 -120sq m which would be sold for £200,000. to £240,000. The proposals give the option for additions to the basic model such as a roof top sliding greenhouse canopy. We are currently developing an urban and a rural model that will appeal to the target demographic.
