PRIORY HOUSE
A GradeĀ II* listed building, built on the site of Dunstable Priory's guest house for travellers. The ground floor contains a thirteenth century groyne-vaulted stone ceiling and original Tudor fireplace.
At the time in the hands of a private client, all permissions were obtained for converting to a bar and restaurant, involving Listed Building Consent, Scheduled Ancient Monument Consent for the surrounding gardens, as well as the planning approval for the change of use.
The site was since sold back to South Beds District Council and now houses Dunstable Tourist Information and Heritage Centre.
