AGRI-RURAL SIMULATION ENVIRONMENT
Launched at the Kent County Show, 2018
The brief was to develop ‘something’ to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Hadlow College, a specialist land-based educational institution. Whilst celebrating the past it should embrace and showcase the future of agricultural and rural land-based learning.
By looking at the technological advances in agriculture and how farming is currently being taught in the classroom, there appeared to be a gap in what was required for the training of our future agronomists.
The Agri-rural Simulation Environment was developed as a learning tool for the future. It will enable students to grow and test their skills in interactive, collaborative and real world environments, working with the latest developments in precision farming robotics and AI. The working prototype was launched at the Kent County Show in July 2018.
